Um… Is seeing really believing? What do You Think?

Many people say “Seeing is believing” how is that so? I say to a man to you believe in God he say “yes” then i say do you believe in aliens he says “no”. I say why not ” I’ve personally never seen them and I don’t go by what others say.” So I say how is it that you believe in a God that you never seen and can’t believe in aliens that you never seen before at the same time? He said ” your right.” Then I say whats a cult? he replied ” A group of people that believes pretty much the same thing; mostly accociated with negetive things.” I say would it be ok to claim religion to be a cult by definition? he was very relunctant but said “yes” Then I asked do you see a world headed towads wars and destruction because of religion? he replied ” normal i would ask for your 666 mark but you make a strong point that the only way for peace is to sacrifice the one thing people believe in the most. Mant people would convert fight and died for their religious beliefs; and you are God awfully right?”

Well, seeing is believing, all the rest are simple manifestations. There is no supernatural. Everything is our own mainfestation.

Scariest feeling ever!?

Hey i cant explain what happend but i will try, i was sleeping and i kinda woke up but i couldent move, i felt paralyzed it was the scariest thing ever, i couldent move but knew i was awake, it felt as if everything was going in slow motion and i was unable to do anything, kinda like when you get kidnapped by aliens (but i wasnt kidnapped), i tried to yell but it seemed as if i couldent. i was so confused and scared, this happend for about 30 sec and i woke up terrified and went back to sleep. i know this wasnt a dream or an alien ubduction, but it kind of was simmilar. what happened to me? was i druuged or something?

Hi sweets, what you experienced is called sleep paralysis. Do a YouTube search on this and you will see actual people being video taped with this same experience. There are two camps of philosophy on this issue. In one corner you have the psychosocial folks that will tell you that it has everything to do with stress and some other triggers.

Then you have the intuitive and religious group that remarkably believe it is the result of a malevolent energy, spirit or demon. In this group people have characterized this experience and spirit as THE OLD HAG SYNDROME. Also do a YouTube search on this and see details of this from testimonies. I would caution you that if this is the beginning of T.O.H.S. that you pay close attention to the solution that they give you. And even if you have not manifested a complete full blown case of TOHS I would still consider using the same method or solution to battle this.

The popular song, “I’ll take you home again Kathleen” was written in 1876 and immortalized by singers Count John McCormack and Josef Locke. It is a song of longing for the land from whence the writer and his lady have come. The reference to “Across the ocean wide and wild” and “Where the fields are fresh and green” have generally both been taken to mean the Old Country, beloved original home of so many Irish immigrants to The United States of America.

But this is not necessarily the case.

The lyrics certainly point to Ireland as the “home” of the song, but not the antecedents of the composer. Thomas P Westendorf, was born in Virginia. Certainly many people of Irish descent were born on the east coast of the USA, but they would not bear the name Westendorf, which points to a more Germanic descent.

Also the song was written, not in Virginia, but in Plainfield, Ill. for his wife, who wasn’t even named Kathleen, but Jennie, whilst she was visiting her home town of Ogdensburg, New York. So, perhaps the “home” referred to was not the Emerald Isle, at all, but the equally green fields of New York state. And what of the “ocean wide and wild”. A bit more difficult to explain, but it probably refers to the prairies, which were, at that time, still as dangerous and as forbidding as any ocean.

At the time, the new “Oregon Trail” to the west coast was very well established. In the early days, the pioneers found the standard wagon, based on the solid Conestoga design favored by the other pioneers, too large and heavy when crossing the Rocky Mountains, killing even the sturdiest of ox teams long before the journey was completed. So a lighter version was developed by the Studebaker Brothers and nicknamed “Prairie Schooners”.

Hence, by 1876, the concept of schooners — and thus the prairie being akin to a vast ocean — was firmly in the national lexicon, so it would be natural for Westendorf to incorporate references to a still largely untamed wild and wide ocean in his song, without meaning the Atlantic Ocean, across which lay a country of which he had scant knowledge.

With a challenging economy comes a wicked rise in racism, the sad reality of citizens unable to find work that pays a living wage, desperately needing to find someone to blame for their misfortune. Everyone is a target, and the more different you look, the more apt you are to be a victim of overt outrage and racism. The reverse is also true. In good economic times, we happily co-exist with all and incidents of racism dwindle to barely a trickle.

While it is difficult to necessarily connect the dots between the recent economic downturn and the rise in opposition to immigration policies (chiefly because immigration issues have recently become a dominant concern in the political arena), it is nonetheless interesting that the tide of antagonism against Anchor Babies (or Jackpot Babies as they have been referred) has become one of the magma political concerns of the century. When it will completely erupt is anyone’s guess. But it won’t be too far off.

Anchor Babies is a term for children born in a country to illegal alien mothers. It is not a term of endearment and is applied principally to illegal Mexican aliens who give birth in America so the offspring gains immediate American citizenship. This also grants permission to the parents to remain in the country. The phrase Anchor Baby has taken on a broader stroke and now refers to any illegal alien in any country giving birth for the purposes of attaining citizenship and social benefits offered by their new host.

The cost to the host country can be immense. In the United States, Anchor Babies cost the various states and the federal government hundreds of millions of dollars each year. To illustrate the drain this places on the local resources, one only has to look at statistics for Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Yes, the same place JFK was rushed to on November 22, 1963. Parkland Memorial Hospital has the second busiest maternity ward in the United States, with 11,200 live births to illegal aliens in 2006, costing taxpayers something in the neighborhood of 75 million dollars. That’s one hospital in one city in one year.

Clearly, the constitutional amendment permitting automatic citizenship at birth in the United States is being abused. United Kingdom and Australia abandoned this policy many years ago because of its abuse. Canada still employs the birthright policy, but Canada borders only one country and does not have easy access from other countries. United States does not enjoy this luxury, and hence, has a formidable challenge to overcome.

And that brings us full circle, as the United States is under considerable pressure to change its birthright policy and step up deportation of illegal aliens, fueled by unemployed or underemployed citizens who believe strongly that their country is going to hell in a hand basket. The timing of this surge is suspect. It smells like the rotten fish of racism. Yet, one cannot help but empathize with the heavy financial toll Anchor Babies and their families have on taxpayers and the fragile social net already stretched to its breaking point.

And that’s my take…

People always view aliens(from outer space) are evil. They always picture them as creatures that love to kill. Instead of seeing it like that why dont you look at this world like that. If we are ever capable of flying to another planet and we discover a planet in which has life and our planet is about to be destroyed by our causes, we would do the same thing as them aliens like in War of the Worlds. We would go to their planet and destroy all the creatures that pose a threat to us. After that we would all move to that planet. So actually we would be kinda like how we view aliens.
