First and foremost I want to say, there is no such thing as an illegal immigrant. The only way to become an immigrant is to do so legally. I wished these people who say illegal immigrants would just get it right, and quit trying to be politically correct.
They are called illegal aliens who are in the US illegally. Who really cares if we offend a criminal? Then you have the people who will quote the bible saying, but the bible says we are to love everyone – even our enemies. Yes, this is true, but it also tells us to OBEY the laws of man as long as they do not conflict with God’s higher laws. Because human governments are allowed their place by God – not because they have his favor, but because God knows there must be relative order – or law.
These people who quote the bible are hypocrites because they will quote stuff from the bible (taking it out of context) and twisting it around so that it will fit their agenda. It happens all the time, these hypocrites search through the bible for all these verses, they then only use parts of the verse for their own agenda.
Here is the categorizations of aliens:
An alien who is legally permitted to remain in a country which is foreign to him or her. On specified terms, this kind of alien may be called a legal alien of that country. This is a very broad category which includes tourists, guest workers, legal permanent residents and student visa resident aliens.
An alien who has temporary or permanent residence in a country (which is foreign to him/her) may be called a resident alien of that country. This is a subset of the aforementioned legal alien category.
An alien who is visiting a country (which is foreign to him/her) may be called a nonresident alien of that country. This is a subset of the aforementioned legal alien category.
An alien who is present in a country (which is foreign to him/her) unlawfully or without the country’s authorization is known as an illegal alien of that country. An illegal alien commonly refers to a foreign national who resides in another country unlawfully, either by entering that country at a place other than a designated port-of-entry or as result of the expiration of a non-immigrant visa. An enemy alien is an alien who is a national of an enemy country.
But since we live in a country that is supposed to be free and sort of like a melting pot of the world – we are not supposed to offend anyone. Political correctness is a term which denotes language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social and institutional offense in occupational, gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, religious belief, disability, and age-related contexts, and doing so to an excessive extent.
So, back to my title and question; “Isn’t it a ‘Crime’ to be in the United States Illegally?” It surely sounds like it is a crime to be in this country illegally.
If so then when they are found to be here illegally why are they not arrested then deported?
An article in the Washington Post on February 11th is titled “Va. murder suspect was ordered deported.” I went and read the article and it is about Jose Oswaldo Reyes Alfaro, he is suspected of killing three people and wounding three others in Manassas. He is a native of El Salvador who was in the country illegally and ordered deported in 2002, police said.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Cori Bassett said Friday that Reyes entered the country illegally in February 2001. At some point after that, he was encountered by either immigration authorities or local law enforcement, determined to be in the country illegally, and ordered to appear before an immigration judge.
As is typical when an illegal immigrant is encountered but not under arrest for a crime, they are not held in jail and are given a hearing with the opportunity to prove that they have legal status – for either a work permit, a student visa, a permanent resident “green card,” or other immigration exemption.
Arizona has the right idea, make them carry papers at all times, funny I think that is what they are supposed to do anyway. The reason Arizona was attacked for trying to implement this, is because they “offended” the illegal aliens – or future democratic voters.
