I am asking about the upcoming solar storm. I live almost directly on the 45 latitude north and almost directly on 123 longitude west (45N, 123W – western Oregon) and I would absolutely love to see aurorae.
Think I have a snowball’s chance in hell? I’d travel to Nome, Alaska but after seeing the fact-based movie “The Fourth Kind”, I’m terrified on evil Sumerian aliens abducting me… just kidding.
No, there is always a chance. It just depends where it hits ‘us’. I am 35 south and we had a CME some years ago that painted our southern sky red.
