Recently in Paris I noticed serveral graphical representations of ‘bugs’ on the side of buildings. Why?
They were mosaic, and looked like 8 bit computer graphics. They could have been bugs or aliens or octupuses. Different colours. Lots in Monmatre, a few in Marais. Does anyone know what they are and why they are there?

In that case, it was a Space Invader.
These are done by a specialized artist that has placed more than 700 of them in Paris.
He has also started to colonize other cities from Anvers to Mombasa.
His website even proposes ready to use Space Invader kits.
