if loving aliens turned up in space ships and said they have new religion for humanity, would you convert?
and i mean REAL cool aliens. not like some cia guys in u.s. made ships or something. like these guys had real scientific proof and could do all sorts of amazing love magic, healing, art etc.
the aliens have a religion that is suitable for humanity at it’s current level – but one which, while it acknowledges the value of earth religions in their time and place, basically says these are mistaken about the nature of reality in many ways and must be mostly left behind.
would you be willing to accept that you were wrong about reality if such an advanced and loving alien race were to give you evidence before your eyes of their good nature and had a clear and understandable new religious system?
would you then abandon your earth religions?
also if you are atheist or just whateverineverthoughtaboutittoomuch would you take on board the aliens program?
I wouldn’t simply hand over my mind to some alien authority, just like I will not hand it over to a human-made authority. But I will certainly try to learn as much as possible from their religion/science so I can come to a better understanding of reality. That’s what religion should be about anyway.
