Are there really a disproportinately high number of reported alien abductions in Nome, Alaska?
Of course I am asking because of the movie “The Fourth Kind”. I was wondering if there were any truth to that claim in the movie or not.
Sometimes its difficult to tell in movies today what is real and what is not since there is a mixing of truth and fiction and sometimes and attempt to recreate the illusion of a home made documentary. In this film I mentioned they claim at least to have mixed video of actual people under hypnosis with with “made up” video with actors playing the roles of people under hypnosis.
Ex: Blair Witch Project, The DaVinci Code, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield (however this is something of an exception), and now The Fourth Kind.
Actually, there are just a few abductions reported in Alaska, no more then you’d find in California or anywhere else all over the world. Everything they say in the movie is practically made up. You’ll constantly see on the bottom of the screen “Actual footage”, but this is all just a ploy to make you believe. The purpose of some of these movies are really just to make people wonder if it’s real. Even though some of them possess a good story line, they try hard to make it look factual… maybe a little too hard.
The Blair Witch Project was evidently just made that way. All those Scary Movie comedies and such wouldn’t be allowed to make fun of it if 3 kids really lost their lives.
Paranormal Activity I’ve wondered about… Thanking the LA police department and adding no credits was work of genious! But I saw the movie twice; in the theater and the bootlegged one. Well the bootlegged version had an alternate ending to it, which seemed more realistic, but not as creepy. So if there’s alternate endings it’s gotta be pure fiction.
The DaVinci Code is all based on theory. There are facts incorportated into the movie but nothing proven. Nothing in that movie can be proven or disproven, so choose what aspects you’d like to believe.
Cloverfield: Obviously BS!
Fourth Kind was designed to make you think, some of it based on actual events, but for the most part the movie is fiction.
