Why are people so inclined to believe conspiracy theories?
I mean, just about any big event happens, and people make crazy theories up about it, instead of believing the “official” events.
Examples : JFK, 9/11, anthrax, Roswell & Area 51, Israel controls the world, moon landings.
Why? I mean, some of these theories are so blatantly ridiculous, and yet some professors, scientists, and various politicians honestly believe them. For example, I know a PhD who works at a major American university. He believes that 9/11 was caused by the Zionists, that his telephone and computers are being tapped b/c he visits Al-Jazeera, and that the anthrax attacks were caused by a mad Israeli scientist. WTH?
Over my time on earth I’ve heard a lot of them about EVERYTHING from JFK to 911 to the moon landing. Some people believe them, some don’t, depending on the person. There is a theory out there for almost EVERYONE! If their isn’t you are almost guaranteed that someone will surly make one up on the topic in the future! Like most legends and stuff usually somewhere in the mess is a small fact that is right, but that doesn’t mean the whole thing is fact! Alot of them start in a mundane way with a rumor someone starts then as it is told and retold countless times is gets a life of its own and becomes something ,to most of us, is outlandish! The government ones are easy to figure out where they come from, they lie to us, cut and dry, so what do they expect? When you lie and keep secrets from people all kinds of outlandish theories come from it. But that does NOT mean they are real, it just means people are guessing about what they are up to is all. But the theories are so vast and for the most so unbelievable that most don’t even consider them to be factual, just something to give them a laugh. But, if you think about it, when you believe and expound them as fact over and over all you are doing is aiding the people that are deceiving us. You are giving them an opening to keep doing what they are doing. Is that what you want? To help the people who are deceiving us by going on and on about something that is or maybe camouflage for them to keep up their deception easily? To give an example of this; Area 51 in the US, now if the government DOES have aliens and proof of such (before I hear about it let me just say this is a theory nothing more, doesn’t mean I believe it) Area 51 is the perfect red herring, everyone is focused there and swearing that is where they are so if they do have them the government is very easily able to hid them in almost plain site because most everyone is focused there, they wouldn’t notice anything anywhere else.
So, next time you hear one of these, before you pass it on as fact, remember in expounding on it and passing it along you are aiding the people trying to deceive you not learning anything new!
