Aliens In History Art

The writer is the reflection of his society, whatever he traces is the tongue of contemporary society. His work, The Prologue to the Canterbury Tales is a great achievement holding various facets and proving him a poet and a narrator. The historians, without reading his work, can not write history. His art of characterization is very simple and eminent.

He is very fantastic in portraying his characters. He watches his characters minutely. He looks over the behaviours, manners dresses and all habits minutely. His work, prologue to the Canterbury tales is a good work, there in thirty characters are led for pilgrimage representing English society morally and socially. His work is fit for all ages.

All his thirty characters represent different professions as The Knight and the Squire represent warrior class ready to flow blood for country sake. Chaucer depicts that where there is dispute, there is knight to face and reconcile. Further it is added that there was a great keen for being the knight as holding and executing power. He performs a great work. The squire is representing good-humored and joyful disposition with the signs of success. The Man of Law, the Doctor, and the Oxford Clerk belong to the learned line of work.

The Merchant and the Shipman represent the higher commercial community while the Wife of Bath, an expert Cloth maker represents the traders and firm. Agriculture is represented by the Ploughman, the Miller and the Franklin. his way of describing the Monk is very humorous but polite. As he says that the monk has craze for hunting and taming dogs. His description of all characters shows his mild humour.

These characters represent various types of contemporary society. They possess different qualities and manners and move before us like real human being. His characters are perfectly lifelike. Some of them are so modern that they seem to be living today. The old Knight is an example of the chivalrous character which is found in every generation. The Merchant is very proud over grow of wealth, while the Man of Law like lawyers of all times is enhancing fees and buying land. We recognize in him the typical lawyer of our own day: it is the peculiarity by virtue of it he is called the poet of modern age.

There are characters like the Prioress, the Monk, the Franklin, the Reeve, the Summoner, the Pardoner, and the Wife of Bath whom we do not identify at first. But none of them is really extinct. They have changed their name and profession but their chief part is an element of humanity. That is why when we accompany the Pilgrims on their way we feel quite at home and have no feeling of being among aliens.

Chaucer’s art of characterization is superb. He looks at his characters positively and marks out each of the men and women minutely and distinguishably. His way of narration is very excellent pursuing the readers to be their companions. Chaucer conveys a strong sense of distinctiveness and depth of portraiture. He simply evinces their realities without any hard satire or humour.

Chaucer’s method of portraying characters is a scientific manner by differentiating them by means of their conspicuous characteristics. It was for the first time in European literature that a writer proved himself clearly cognizant of the relation between individuals and ideas. Moreover, Chaucer’s characters grow and develop in the course of the tale, like living human beings. They give their opinions on the stories that have been told and these comments reveal their central thoughts, their feelings and the objects of their interests.

Thus Chaucer is the master in the art of characterization.

Aliens In Korea

Aliens In Korea

An interesting conversation that I thought I must share with you. Today in a coffee shop in the United States of America the subject matter turned to South of the Border. We discussed the politically hot topic of Illegal Immigration to the US from Mexico. In our discussion we both agreed that all of our ancestors came here from somewhere else. Of course many of us have at least some native Indian in our bloodlines.

Since we are the great melting pot, which I pointed out to my new found conversationalist, shouldn’t we be melting? He then turned to me and said; “oh, we are the great melting pot; we are melting illegal aliens with US citizens!” Interesting statement indeed and of course he had a point. If we go back far enough we are all related, yet we have sacrificed much to build this great nation and we must protect our civilization and protect it from collapse. Economically or from; enemies foreign or domestic, that is the promise of our government, is it not? Indeed it is; we both agreed.

Now then how can we melt such different value sets, thought processes and cultures? Well, we have had harder melts in our populous in the past so anything is possible. Yet my friend went on to ask another question. If an illegal alien is here illegally; illegal being the operative word then they have broken the law and are now a criminal. So if they melt with an honest citizen then the offspring are what; Criminals or Honest children? He then went on to describe a Hispanic family; Mom and two sons who broke into a warehouse in broad daylight to rip it off. They were not only illegals, they were caught and sent to jail. Well, I said that is where they belong right? He said; “yes of course but who is paying for that?” Then he went on further to tell me that if they broke the law to get here and do not respect our laws, why would you trust them to not break other laws of our land? I completely lost my argument and his point is well taken. Will you please think on this for me?

Aliens In Our Midst

Aliens In Our Midst
Should I be concerned about recurring bloodstain on wall?

Getting new carpet in hall and stairs so taking the opportunity to paint while old carpet is up. Hubbie’s job is to extract nails and so cut finger, managing to leave a trail of blood spatter down the recently painted wall that would excite the most weary forensic scientist.

Weary Little Miss Tidy (me) painted over the evidence and a while later noticed the stain was still there but now in brown.

Having painted over AGAIN to no avail I am forced to wonder if there is an alternative explanation for my husband’s persistence.

When I lived in USA I was labelled an alien. My husband is actually from the planet USA but I ask you if it could be possible that HE and not I is the true alien in our midst?

He always slices our roast beef or chicken but had a strong aversion to chopping up whole salmon recently. Any occult experts out there? Is there a link? He does light a lot of incense sticks!

Yours in tr…trepidation

Anna B

I’m not sure what your question is, but my husband also cut himself and the spots of blood got on our walls. I wasn’t painting the walls white, but once the paint was dry, I used some primer (don’t buy the cheap kind, the middle priced ones are sooo much better)…anyways I painted over the blood w/ primer once that was dry I went ahead and painted w/ the color I was using. The primer took care of it all, its much thicker based than paint. As for the alien thing, i’m no help there! haha

Could Aliens have visited earth thousands of years ago and influenced human civilization?

I watched this series on the History Channel called ancient aliens and real scholars and scientists were talking about all these ancient sites all over the world with huge megalithic structures with such precise carvings and cuttings that couldn’t have possibly been made and moved with primitive stone tools, ancient drawings of what appear to be space-ships, beings flying in the sky, etc…and they also showed these ancient paintings of the earth which were really precise but were made before anybody supposedly knew the earth was circular or the locations of all the continents. After seeing that program I think to myself that it could be a real possibility that aliens really visited earth thousands of years ago and somehow guided and helped human civilization progress. What are your thoughts on this possibility? Has anyone seen this show? Intelligent thoughts please…

It is absolutely plausible that extraterrestrials visited Earth in the past. Evidence of this exists throughout the globe. Take, for example, a place in Bolivia called Puma Punku. The stonework there is so fine, so perfect that even in modern times we would have great difficulty replicating the same results. We think that the natives who lived their didn’t have even a written language, so why should they have made these cuts and other stonework projects without some sort of advanced technology?
