Do you know if the “POWER RANGERS” have an actual basis in fact or spiritual principle involved?
What I have seen of “The Power Rangers” concept involves about five young persons- teenagers- who have these suits of armour that “morph” onto their bodies when they need them to fight with.
They have special vehicles, and weapons, and can combine them for extra devastating effects, most notably, the “MEGAZORD,” a humunguously huge robot of somewhat dubious fidelity to the laws of engineering, without whom no battle is complete.
I understand that there are toys chicken-and-egg linked to these shows, but I have never seen them (I live in Nigeria). I bet the armours are for sale too!
The megazord concept reminds me of something SF novelist Frank Herbert wrote in some of his stories involving Aliens with multiple sexes, and what Don Juan told Carlos Castaneda about “Inorganic Beings.”
Didn’t the original Zords all have the shape of a particular animal which was somehow linked with the Rangers, like a totem?
