What are your thoughts on this?
If this is evidence, then I can prove that I am the absolutist ruler of this planet. You have my word on that.
It is just a lump of something – which looks pretty earthly. You just have their word, that it must be alien.
But as long as no other evidence in this sample exists, which really excludes being produced on Earth, this is just that. And scientists of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, who got send a sample of this in 1996 concluded exactly this:
“There are no anomalies in the results of this analysis. The detected phases are accounted for, and the microstructure lends itself to standard metallurgical interpretation. The physical properties that were measured (density, hardness, and electrical resistivity) all fall within the expected range.”
It is not even possible to show that it was not produced by humans (Such lumps are often produced in die casting, this alone is no evidence for extraterrestrial origin) – and even harder to show that it can’t be from Earth (Even without human influence, nature can form small amounts of aluminum. But the chances for getting exactly this industrial alloy would be insane).
But that is not the problem. The problem is what people are willed to believe. It will not matter how many scientists will say, that this is just a lump of uncontrolled cooled aluminum (Aluminum alloy 360 to be correct). You will always have idiots (especially inside History Channel) who will start at the assumption, that it is evidence for an extraterrestrial spacecraft and then ignore all evidence which might counter their believes.
AND Finally: This is just a show on “History Channel” – which alone means it is not true. History Channel even fails on getting World War 2 right. You may watch History Channel for brainless entertainment, but I recommend you to do your own research on the stuff History Channel touches, if you are interested in the truth and not in getting indoctrinated with assumptions.
