The X-Files follows the exploits of four FBI agents to investigate a series of unresolved mysterious and known only as "The X-Files". FBI special agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), John Doggett (Robert Patrick) and Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish) are the main actors in looking for these exceptional cases, that can never be solved by conventional methods of investigation. However, Mulder and Scully in particular play a major role in the series.
