UFO Research
Why "ufologists" have no passion for scientific research UFO events, instead of conducting the election?

superficial "investigations" rather than keeping a disciplined control of your search?

I agree with you about the lack of discipline empirical your question implies. I have read a number of books on UFOs. They have reports of eyewitnesses and pseudo-scientific study, but generally do little. I do not like the tone of his first 2 responses so far though. I'm middle-aged software engineer agnostic. Me English. I have a technical and scientific education and a brain scientist. I drive my wife nuts because I will not "take anything on trust." I need proof. ……… However, I have seen a UFO. I and hundreds of others. I was on holiday in Brittany, France in the1990s. It was the night. The sky was dark. My wife and I were talking with another English couple. Exceptionally, There are a number (about 25 or 30), low flying aircraft passed over very noisy. After 10 or 15 minutes we left and there was a crowd. About 2 miles away, I suppose, was not a brilliant ball low in the sky, right on the ocean a half mile more or less, no more than a few hundred feet off the ground. The planes of the French Air Force is 'buzz' it. Flying within what seemed only 50 feet or less of the ball, passing it and going around, come back and do it again from the other side. There were 4 planes, I think. We saw it for at least another 25 to 30 minutes. Loads of passes. Every 8 or 9 passes the ball went through as a camera, then returned to shine, approximately half as bright as the moon. Then suddenly, the ball head to the sky at an angle steeper than any plane I've seen and faster on a factor of at least 20 than any of the Plans 'buzz' it. It made no noise at all to do. It is easily the best I've ever seen. After few seconds then stopped. This time high in the sky. A small bright spot now as big as, say 20 stars. It stayed there for a period of 6 or 7 minutes before move out of the same speed at an angle up again and again in silence. I do not know what it was, but it was: – A. – Unidentified (for all near me) B: – Flying C: – Well, I do not know if it was an object or not, but I can not think what else could be. NB. A small footnote. The other week my 15 year old son and his friends were discussing UFOs. I was asked my opinion. I told him he did not believe in them. My son said, "But you've seen one!" Amounts to only my opinion. I do not believe in UFOs, but I've seen one. Edit: – I listen to "rational" explanations that answer as to what I saw. Theories welcome.
