Your Questions About Alien Sightings In Wisconsin

Steven asks…

Wisconsin city famous for aliens?

one of my great grandma’s grew up in wisconsin (99% sure, but the family histories a little muddled) she lived on a farm and apparently she told my dad one time that they would see strange things in the fields sometimes. she didn’t like to talk about it a lot, but she said that one time she saw something very tall and spindly running through a field and that it was the scariest thing she’d ever seen. i’m pretty sure the name of the town she grew up in was Green Grass, or Greengrass. when i was in middle school, i told this story to my class and my social studies teacher had heard of the town and knew it was famous for alien sightings. the problem is i’ve searched the internet and can’t find anything about a town called Green Grass anywhere let alone in Wisconsin. i was wondering if anyone had heard of it? its entirely possible that it was in a different state (probably somewhere in the midwest though) or that the town had a different name similar to “Green Grass”. any insights? could the town name have been changed at any point or incorporated into a different city?

i have found two other wisconsin cities supposedly famous for UFO’s (Belleville and Elmwood) and two wisconsin cities with similar names (Greenfield and Green Lake) none of these seem to be the town that i am looking for.
thank you! any info helps!

Joy answers:

I’m almost positive that you are referring to the town of Spring Green. It had several sightings in the early 1960′s. It is also the home of Frank Lloyd Wright. Some believe it had to do with the Taliesin group. You can check more information out about them by researching Frank Lloyd Wright.
