Joy answers:

The Mayans did NOT predict 2012. The only thing that the Mayans really predicted, in relation to the date of the Big 2012 Hoax, is the fact that their day-count calendar would reach day number 13.00.00.00.00

All the rest of the “Mayan predictions” are recent inventions, created to fool people.

The “end of the calendar” prediction was made by José, in a book he wrote at the end of the 1980s. To make his book interesting, José pretended to be a reincarnated Mayan priest (he is not — he was born in Minnesota). José is the “Mayan” who made the first “predictions”

Then the whole thing was really whipped up into a frenzy by much better charlatans. They already had experience: they had made tons of money from their earlier hoax: Planet X was going to kill most of us in May… 2003. They made money selling books on how-to-survive.

When June 2003 came along (but Planet X did not), their book stopped selling. They needed a new hoax. They took José’s fake date and they turned it into the “end-of-the-world” hoax.

They used a lot of older hoaxes, lies and stories. They modified each one to fit their new hoax.

One of the stories was that aliens from another world came here roughly 3600 years ago. This comes from a story about the planet Nibiru written in the 1960s by Zechariah.

Zechariah has nothing to do with the Big 2012 Hoax; in his story, Nibiru does come close to Earth, but it cannot come back before the year 2085. And in Z’s story, Nibiru cannot harm Earth.

Aliens (totally different ones) were also used in the earlier hoax about Planet X: they apparently warned Nancy through her dreams and they also sent spacecraft to save some of us… In 2003. The charlatans made money selling seats on these rescue crafts.

In Roland’s movie, the alien spacecraft scam was replaced by the Arks.

In real life, there were no ancient aliens coming to Earth. There was no special prediction from the Mayans about 2012.
