Paintings by famous artists depicting tattoos?
Can anyone think of any paintings or artists (preferably modern) portraying people with tattoos or other body modification? Please help; it’s for a class paper.

I’m not too familiar with anyone who does portrait style painting of people with tattoos, but there is The Tattooist by Norman Rockwell, and Kat Von D by Shawn Barber. There’s an artist featured in the June 2009 issue of Tattoo Magazine, when it hits the newsstand’s you may want to check it out.
