I need ideas please, I have hit a creative block. Can anyone help me?
I am writing a book (if you have not yet seen one of my previous questions). I need ideas. My book is science fiction. It’s a little like Halo, but I need more ideas for the book. I’m only 17 pages in and I’m aiming for at least 345 pages. The aliens use plasma based weapons only. Humanity is still using bullets. Also, if you give vehicle, weapon, or ammunition ideas please name them using Greek mythology. I have already used Oracle, Atlas, Gaia, Pegasus, Harpy, Cyclops, Cerberus, Helios, and Hydra.

I don’t have specific ideas about your book/weapons/vehicles/etc., but if you want a lot of general help with creativity and inspiration, you might want to check out the comments on this page at my site from others who’ve also “been there” though in different fields:

Also, I wouldn’t suggest drug, but your dreams can be powerful ways to get ideas, directly or indirectly.
Try writing some down after just saying to yourself before sleep that you’d like to dream about X___, and see what your mind may offer up. Things in dreams are likely to be metaphors, but just getting closer to your unconscious and kicking around some of the images, etc, afterwards can throw out a lot of useful stuff too.
